We have a constant flow of traction engines and boilers through our works; however we recognise that this is a highly specialised market so we like to work with our customers to deliver a product that meets their individual budget, timescale or other requirements.
For example we have 3 methods of approaching the build of new fireboxes:
1. ‘Biscuit tin’ fireboxes - for a quick and cost effective option for a firebox renewal.
2. Flanged and welded fireboxes - to retain the characteristics of a traditional firebox, but a more cost effective option to riveted lap edges. This method is also easier to maintain.
3. Flanged and riveted fireboxes - for those wishing to retain the traditional methods of boilermaking and integrity of the original design.
As well as boiler repairs, with our teams experience and skill we are able to offer a wide range of services from a new ashpan or bunker, to repair and replacement of bearings and bushes. Perhaps a set of piston rings or a cylinder block machining.
